St Bart's Church

The beautiful Church of St Bartholomew was specially chosen as an ideal venue for concerts. With a fine acoustic, a warm and friendly atmosphere and the specially erected stage area it has become popular with both audience and musicians alike.

The Church has full facilities for those with disabilities including easy access for wheelchairs.
 

Festival Director Robert Trory writes ...

Making debuts at the festival this year are internationally celebrated pianist Valerie Tryon and the London Mozart Players who combine with conductor Robert Trory in the final concert.

Also featured in the final concert is the World Premiere of Philip Sawyers’ Second Symphony. Sawyers has been enjoying huge success in America over recent years, and welcomes this opportunity to write for the tenth anniversary of the first concert promoted by Sydenham Music in St.Bartholomew’s.

Making welcome returns are Australian pianist Leslie Howard, internationally renowned for his Lizst recordings, the Endellion String Quartet and the Fidelio Piano Quartet who play again in The Dolphin pub.

This is the fifth Sydenham International Music Festival and promises to be a real feast of live music to match anything on offer in London..
